JOKES by Along..

A few days after Christmas, a mother was working in the kitchen listening to her young son playing with his new electric train in the living room.

She heard the train stop and her son said,

"All of you sons of b*tches who want off, get the hell off now, cause this is the last stop! And all of you sons of b*tches who are getting on, get your asses in the train, cause we're going down the tracks."

The mother went nuts and told her son,

"We don't use that kind of language in this house. Now I want you to go to your room and you are to stay there for TWO HOURS. When you come out, you may play with your train, but I want you to use nice language."

Two hours later, the son comes out of the bedroom and resumes playing with his train. Soon the train stopped and the mother heard her son say,

"All passengers who are disembarking from the train, please remember to take all of your belongings with you. We thank you for riding with us today and hope your trip was a pleasant one. We hope you will ride with us again soon."

She hears the little boy continue,

"For those of you just boarding, we ask you to stow all of your hand luggage under your seat. Remember, there is no smoking on the train. We hope you will have a pleasant and relaxing journey with us today."

As the mother began to smile, the child added,

"For those of you who are pissed off about the TWO HOUR delay, please see the b*tch in the kitchen."

A man escapes from prison where he has been for 15 years. He breaks into a house to look for money and guns and finds a young couple in bed.

He orders the guy out of bed and ties him to a chair, while tying the girl to the bed he gets on top of her, kisses her neck, then gets up and goes into the bathroom.

While he's in there, the husband tells his wife:

"Listen, this guy's an escaped convict, look at his clothes! He probably spent lots of time in jail and hasn't seen a woman in years. I saw how he kissed your neck." If he wants s*x, don't resist, don't complain, do whatever he tells you. Satisfy him no matter how much he nauseates you. This guy is probably very dangerous. If he gets angry, he'll k*ll us. Be strong, honey. I love you."

To which his wife responds:

"He wasn't kissing my neck. He was whispering in my ear. He told me he was gay, thought you were cute, and asked me if we had any vaseline. I told him it was in the bathroom. Be strong honey. I love you too!!"

A man and his wife go to their honeymoon hotel for their 25th anniversary. As the couple reflected on that magical evening 25 years ago, the wife asked the husband,

"When you first saw my naked body in front of you, what was going through your mind?"

The husband replied,

"All I wanted to do was to fuck your brains out, and suck your tits dry."

Then, as the wife undressed, she asked,

"What are you thinking now?"

My First HDR Images

TESTING ;)

Saturday, 4 December 2010

Create HDR image using Nikon D3100

One of disadvantage of having Nikon D3100 is that it doesnt have exposure bracketing controls (Automatic Exposure Bracketing or AEB) . Exposure bracketing is prove useful in challenging lighting situations eg: wide contrast range. It ‘s a pity Nikon dont put that simple control in their latest entry-level DSLRs . I dont know , maybe it’s one of their marketing tactics.

With AEB enabled , when we press the shutter button the camera will take at least three consecutive images with different exposure level. By having these images we can easily pick an image that properly exposed or pick one that you really like. Or you can merge those images into one image that has larger dynamic range than a normal photo. The merging technique is also known as High Dynamic Range ( HDR )

Langman Grove - HDR

example of HDR image - by artiephotography

To create a HDR photo , normally you will need at least three images with different exposure. But without exposure bracketing (AEB) , how to create multiple photos with Nikon D3100 ?

Use your camera

Remember , photos taken for a HDR image should be similar apart from their exposure level. Other settings need to fixed each shot : aperture , white balance , ISO , and focus. Shutter-speed values will change according to shot’s exposure level. So , you’ll need a tripod to minimalize camera shake.

  1. Put the camera in tripod
  2. use Aperture-Priority mode ( see manual, page 76)
  3. set exposure to 0 EV ( see page 81 )
  4. look around then compose your photo
  5. KLIK, press that shutter button. But wait , to minimalize shake when pressing the button use remote trigger accesories like Nikon MC-DC2. Or you can use the camera’s self-timer :)
  6. Done.. repeat from step 3 but set exposure level to -1 EV (underexpose ) . Then set the third photo’s exposure to +1EV (overexpose). The 1EV interval is only a guideline.. you can create as many photos as you like with larger interval.

Next step is to combine those photos to create a HDR image using software. Here’s some

I’m not going to elaborate more about it. There are tons of HDR tutorial in the net ! i’m sure you’ll find one :)

New DSLR Camera

NIKON D3100

Nikon has unveiled the D3100, its latest entry-level offering and its first DSLR that can record full 1080p HD videos. Successor to the popular D3000, it is built around a 14.2 CMOS sensor and a 3 inch LCD. As well as movies it gains Live View shooting, a wider ISO range ( 100-3200 expandable to 12800) and a host of small revisions.

BeautifulDX-format, 14.2 effective megapixel CMOS image sensor [NEW]
Softly defocused backgrounds that only a D-SLR can produce Nikon equipped D3100 with a newly developed CMOS sensor for outstanding subject detail and smooth color gradation. Whether shooting photos or full HD movies, the sensor is crucial to image quality. The high pixel count of D3100's sensor produces photos of striking clarity, revealing all the nuance of the original scene with minimum noise - ideal for intricately detailed textures and grain-free background defocus.

Easy OperationGuide Mode
The sure way to obtain desired resultsAn enchanting portrait against a softly defocused background, or a radiant couple surrounded by sparkling lights. Taking photos like these is easy with D3100's Guide Mode - in-camera guidance that shows you step-by-step how to change camera settings. Just select a Guide Mode setting that matches the scene then let Guide Mode assist. Not only will you obtain the desired results, you'll understand how you achieved them. Guide Mode even displays sample photos so you'll know what to expect from each setting.

Full HD MoviesD-Movie
Breathtaking full HD 1080p movies [NEW]Discover the difference a digital SLR makes when shooting movies. A wide selection of NIKKOR lenses gives you freedom to explore different angles and obtain lovely defocused backgrounds while D3100’s advanced imaging system assures outstanding quality. And for action sequences, new Subject-tracking AF keeps subjects properly focused. After the shoot, view movies on the large 7.5-cm (3-in.) LCD monitor and perform simple editing tasks like trimming scenes before or after a designated point and extracting still images. Canon EOS 60D

canon has unveiled the EOS 60D mid-level DSLR, replacing the EOS 50D. However, following the launch of the EOS 7D, the 60D has been repositioned in the market, so isn't a simple upgrade to its predecessor. Instead the 60D is a smaller camera featuring an articulated screen and plastic body shell and utilizing SD memory cards. It combines the 18MP CMOS sensor and 1040k dot 3.0" LCD from the EOS 550D (Rebel T2i) with the AF system from the 50D. Meanwhile it gains the 7D's HD movie capability. We've had a chance to use a pre-production 60D so have prepared a hands-on preview, including sample images and movies.

A New Perspective

Designed to realize your perfect shot, the 60D’s pairing of two state-of-the-art sensor and image processor allows it to capture action at a slick 5.3fps while the shutter speed range of 1/8000 sec ensures that nothing escapes your vision.

18-megapixel sensor

Powered by a cutting-edge 18-megapixel APS-C sized CMOS sensor and dynamic DIGIC 4 processor, the EOS 60D leads the pack at rendering the finest colour gradations and the tiniest image details. The exceptional noise reduction feature lets you recreate your favourite scenes with greater finesse even in dimly-lit conditions.

3-inch wide Vari-Angle LCD

Experience a whole new level of compositional freedom with the 3-inch wide Vari-Angle Clear View LCD. The multi-directional swivel of the screen (540°), coupled with the high resolution of 1.04 million dots, empowers you to defy photographic conventions by snapping shots from previously challenging physical angles.

In-camera post processing

With a bevy of post-processing features to utilize including creative filters, white balance, picture style and brightness, the mood of your scene can be accentuated to fit your every visual whim. Enjoy the flexibility of sprucing up your exposures anytime, anywhere, without the hassle of external editing programs.

KEY FEATURES :

  • Advanced creative features with Basic + Vari-angle 7.7cm (3.0”) 3:2 ratio LCD
  • Full HD movies with manual control
  • DIGIC 4

2009-2010

BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE

I has never seen a tighter Premier League table than the one this season. Oh what joy!The league title is still up for grabs, the coveted UEFA Champions League play-off fourth spot is still hanging in the balance, and the relegation dogfight is very much alive, with the exception of Portsmouth.

Manchester United's last gasp victory against City at the weekend, coupled with Chelsea's humiliating loss to Spurs and Arsenal's puzzling defeat at the hands of Wigan, has thrown the title race wide open.

Spurs have regained fourth spot ahead of Roberto Mancini's cash-rich City side while Burnley, Hull, West Ham and Wolverhampton are stuck in the rut at the bottom of the hill.

With an average of four to five games left for all the top--flight clubs, it is ‘squeaky-bum time' as Sir Alex Ferguson once said.

Will Chelsea's consistent season derail in the next four weeks? Can the Red Devils retain the league title and overtake Liverpool's record of 18 league titles?

It could all come down to two men - Didier Drogba and Wayne Rooney, who between them have accounted for a whopping 51 goals (Drogba 25, Rooney 26).

Drogba seems to have lost a bit of steam in the last two games, while Rooney is struggling to play on with an injury. The ribbon colours on the trophy will depend on which of these two warriors can grab the rope and drag their team across the finishing line first.

Third placing will most likely belong to the Gunners while the next two seats in the top five will see Spurs and City go toe-to-toe as they slug it out to determine who makes it to the holy grail that is the Champions League.

Once again, it could all boil down to how two men perform - Croatian playmaker Luka Modric and Argentine grinder Carlos Tevez.

Tevez's 21-goal haul has been the key reason for the Citizens' good season while Modric's magnificent midfield play typifies Spurs' doggedness despite an alarming injury-list at White Hart Labe.

May 5 will see the two clubs square off at the City of Manchester Stadium in what could be a date with destiny.

The side that strikes the killer blow in this game will probably end up reaping the rewards. Gladiators like Michael Dawson, Craig Bellamy and Gareth Bale have to stand up and be counted. No place to hide, no time to lose. Quite simply heaven or hell. No in between for the 22 brave warriors chosen to play in the biggest game of the season for both clubs.

As for the bottom-dwellers, it looks as if that will also go down to the wire.
Burnley seem lost and have not really recovered from the departure of Owen Coyle to Bolton, while Hull's sacking of Phil Brown, and the subsequent appointment of Iain Dowie has failed to lift the KC Stadium troops.

Can the Tigers and the Clarets hit form to surpass the Hammers of Upton Park and Mick McCarthy's pack of Wolves?

It'll be tough, but we all know everything is possible in football. Just ask a fuming Wenger who is probably still recovering from the shocking defeat by Wigan.

So stock up on the coffee and tea and standby for a month of pulsating Premier League action.
And just in case your partner decides to throw your television set out of the window, you can take your laptop with you on a milk run excuse and log on to
